Installing the Help Desk Widget


The current widget is distributed as the @kamili/helpdesk-widget npm package. The old hosted loader script has been retired. Ask your Kamili contact for package access and a widget ID assigned to your workspace before installation.


For a Next.js application with package access, add @kamili/helpdesk-widget as a dependency and render its HelpDeskWidget React component once in the root layout. Set NEXT_PUBLIC_HELPDESK_WIDGET_ID to the assigned public widget ID and pass your product accent as primaryColor. The component mounts lazily in the bottom right.


After deployment, open the page on desktop and phone, start a test conversation, and confirm it reaches the intended Help Desk workspace. If the package or widget ID is unavailable, contact support@kamililabs.com for setup.
